Men's Ministries
Men’s Ministry is committed to seeing men grow in discipleship, in relationship to their spiritual leaders and friends, and in ministry to their families and the Body of Christ. We believe that Men's Ministry is much more than simply ministry TO men, but also ministry BY men that involves them in the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
Valley Christian Center men are involved in ministry in Royal Rangers, Grand Forks County Jail, Northland Rescue Mission, Altar Prayer Team, Hospitality Team, Bible Studies and Children's and Youth Ministries. There are opportunities to attend the annual North Dakota District Men's Retreat every February, as well as, an Ice Fishing Derby and an Auto Restoration Clinic. Men also participate in the annual Promise Keepers Conferences and other local men's conferences and retreats. There is also a men's fellowship group that meets here at VCC every Tuesday evening at 7pm.
"Sisters at Heart" Women's ministries
Women’s Ministries is an opportunity for the local church to touch the lives of women by the power of Jesus Christ through outreach, ministry interest groups, and discipleship. We want to build an environment for women to mentor women—a place where women can learn, practice biblical love, and feel God’s love in a very real way. We believe that every woman should be ministered to according to her need, and every born-again woman should be encouraged to find her place of ministry within the body of Christ. We want to help women find their gifts, and then match them to needs in the church or community, and empower them to serve others with their talents. Women at Valley Christian Center are involved in ministry in Missionettes, Northland Rescue Mission, Grand Forks Women's Pregnancy Center, Grand Forks Community Violence Intervention Center, Children's and Youth Ministries, Hospitality Team, Altar Prayer Team, Sharing Meals, Prayer Chain, and Bible Studies.
Nursery Valley Christian Center's nurseries exist to create an environment for little children to enjoy learning about Jesus and being with God's people.
There is a nursery for infants and also one for toddlers. At three years of age, children move into Lil' Angels Children's Church. A Nursing Mother's Room is available for families. Each room is equipped with closed circuit television in order to enjoy what is happening in the main sanctuary. All workers, including parents, in Children's Ministries go through a screening process. Yearly training and equipping is available for everyone.
Children's Ministries Valley Christian Center's Children's Ministries begins in our nurseries and moves up through Middle School age. The Sunday School hour is an important discipleship ministry that educates the child in the fundamentals of Bible teaching, its stories, and particular doctrines.
Lil' Angels and King's Kids are Children Church programs that engage children in worship and learning on their own level. Special programs and events are planned for them during the summer, Christmas, and Easter seasons. Royal Rangers and Missionettes are boys and girls club Biblical programs that are activity based. They help to grow and develop the character of boys and girls, as well as, give them practical lessons and skills for everyday life.
